Day 01: Arrive at Trivandrum-Kovalam
Begin your Tour. Arrive into TrivandrumWelcome to Vardhman's "Kerala
Backwater & Beach Tour"! On arrival in Trivandrum, you will be
met and transferred to Kovalam by Vardhman's representative to your hotel.
Relax for a remaining part of the day. Kovalam, famous for its pristine
beaches.
Overnight: Hotel
Day 02: Kovalam
Spend entire day at Kovalam beach, the paradise of sun, sea, sand and
surf.
OPTIONAL: Full day Excursion to Kanyakumari
Kanyakumari is the confluence of three seas - Bay of Bengal, Arabian
Ocean & Indian Ocean. It is an important pilgrim centre of India is
famous for Amman Temple a symbol of unity and sanctity dedicated
to the virgin goddess, Kanyakumari. To its South East lies the famous
Vivekananda rock memorial, a blend of all architectural styles of India.
Later in evening drive back to Kovalam to stay overnight in the hotel

Day 03: Kovalam beaches
Full day free for Leisure activities on the Golden beach. Day will
be spent amidst the beauty of the Kovalam Beach, with tall palm groves
and the blue sea lapping against the shore.Overnight: Hotel
Day 04: Kovalam- Kumarakom
On the day 4 of your tour, drive to Kumarakom. Upon arrival, check
into your hotel. Spend the remaining part of the day exploring the green
woods along the banks of the lagoons and canals of the nearby fishing
hamlet.

Day 05: Kumarakom
This morning after breakfast visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, famous
for its diversity in flora and fauna. Later in the day, you can enjoy
boat cruise (at your own cost) on the backwaters of this picturesque Kerala
town. You will spend the night at your hotel in Kumarakom.

Day 06: Kumarakom- Alleppey
Morning drive to Alleppey and upon arrival, board the houseboat. Staying
in this moving palace is breathtakingly stimulating experience. While
sailing down a maze of canals one sees different scenes from the villages,
paddy fields, coconut palms, fisherman and local life. Lunch, dinner next
day breakfast and tea snacks will be provided in the boat. The cool breeze
from the Lake make you sleep early in the night after anchoring in a fancy

Day 07: Alleppey- Cochin
This houseboat comes to halt at Alleppey. Disembark the houseboat
after breakfast and drive to Cochin. Upon arrival, check into your hotel.
After a short rest at a hotel, proceed for a tour of the historic port
city of Cochin, its Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis Church, and Cochin Harbor,
where the Chinese style fishing nets take many visitors by surprise.OPTIONAL:
Enjoy the traditional Kathakali dance performance in the evening. Overnight:

Day 08: Cochin- Calicut/Kozhikode
On the day 8 of your tour drive down to Calicut. Enroute visit the
Guruvayoor Elephant School and the Cheruthuruthi Training Center for Traditional
Dance. Continue drive to Calicut, nearby Beypore. Upon arrival, check
into your hotel. Later proceed on a city tour of Calicut. Visit Art gallery
and Krishna Menon Museum at East Hill in Kozhikode, Mananchira Square,
Lokanarkavu Temple.Mananchira Square: Mananchira Square was formed by
joining Tagore park, Ansari park and the large maidanam (grounds). The
maidanam has a green carpet lawn and the whole complex is circled by a
laterite (a kind of stone) sculpted wall. The entire complex is circled
by 250 lamp posts that are designed in the colonial style. Mananchira
Square also has an artificial stream, a musical fountain, an open-air
theatre and a music stage.Lokanarkavu Temple,dedicated to goddess Durga,is
situated at Memunda ,The temple is 4km from vatakara.Kozhippara waterfalls
is located at the eastern side of the district and offers a good trekking
experience

Day 09: Cochin- Vythiri/Wayanad
Drive to Vythiri in the morning. Upon arrival, check into your hotel.
Later visit Wyannad Wildlife Sanctuary, famous for its many species of
birds and animals. Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary: Wild animals such as Indian
Bison, elephant, deer and tiger has been spotted. There are also quite
a few wild birds in the sanctuary.Peacocks and Peafowl tend to be very
common in the area.The sanctuary is part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve.
The Western Ghats, Nilgiri Sub-Cluster (6,000+ km²), including all
of the sanctuary, is under consideration by the UNESCO World Heritage
Committee for selection as a World Heritage Site.

Day 10: Vythiri/Wayanad- Kappad
This morning after breakfast drive to Kappad, famous as the port through
which Vasco da Gama, the Portuguese explorer, entered India, ending his
quest for the famed Golden Bird of the ancient world. Kappad, is known
as Land of Looms and Lores. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. Relax
for the remaing part of the day. Overnight: Hotel
Day 11: Kappad
Spend the day at Kappad Beach. Apart from enjoying the pleasure of
paddling in the waves and walking on the wet sands of the beach, you will
also be treated to a Kalaripattayam performance, reportedly the oldest
martial arts form in Asia. Overnight: Hotel
Day 12: Kappad- Kannur
This morning after breakfast drive to Kannur via the historically
important towns of Mahe and Thalasseri. Upon arrival, check into your
hotel. Later visit St. Angelo Fort was built in 1505 by the first Portugese
Vicereroy of India Don Francisco de Almeida. In 1663 Dutch captured and
in 1772 then they sold the fort to the Arakkal King the 1790 British Captured
then it was under british until 1947. History book of St Angelo Fort is
Vasco Da Gaamayum Charithrathile Kaanaappurangalum (Vasco Da Gama and
the unseen pages of history) written by a Tourism Policeman named Sathyan
Edakkad. Visit Arakkal Museum, located in Ayikkara, is a museum dedicated
to the Arakkal family, the only Muslim royal family in Kerala, south India.
The museum is actually a section of the Arakkalkettu (Arakkal Palace).
The durbar hall section of the palace has been converted into a museum
by the Government of Kerala. It was opened in July 2005 after a Rs. 9,000,000
renovation and is managed by the Arakkal Family Trust.Overnight: Hotel
Day 13: Kannur- Mangalore
On the day 13 of your tour, drive to Mangalore. Enroute visit Bekal
Fort. Upon arrival, check into the hotel. Later proceed on a city tour
of Mangalore.Overnight: Hotel
Day 14: Mangalore- Coondapoor
Today visit the 1000 Pillar Jain temple and Karkal Gomateshwara's
Statues, after which you will be driven directly to Coondapoor. Upon arrival,
check into your hotel. Realx for rest of the day.Overnight: Hotel
Day 15: Coondapoor- Karwar
Drive to Karwar. Enroute visit Bhatkal Fort in Karwar. Upon arrival
check into your hotel. Later vist Karwar. Visit Guddahalli Peak,Shirve
Ghat,Anshi National Park,Durga Devi Temple,Naganath Temple,Sadashivgadh
Maratha Fort etc.Overnight: Hotel
Day 16: Karwar- Goa
After breakfast,drive to Goa, and upon arrival, check into your hotel.
Spend the evening touring the beautiful Goa beaches. Overnight: Hotel
Day 17: Goa
Go on a tour of the beautiful beach state of Goa. Visit the temples
of Goa, the old Portuguese churches and homes, and the sandy beaches.
The next two days will also be spent in touring Goa.Overnight: Hotel
Day 19: Departure
After breakfast transfer to Goa airport to catch flight for your onward
journey to back home with sweet and unforgettable memories of "Kerala
