Arrive in Cochin. Welcome to Vardhman's 'Backwater Paradise of Kerala Tour' On arrival in Cochin, you will be met and transferred by our representative to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight: Hotel Day 02 Cochin This morning proceed on a city tour of Cochin City tour of Cochin Visit the Dutch palace, Jewish Synagogue, Chinese fishing nets, St. Francis Church and the Santa Cruz Church. Also visit the Hill Palace Museum which displays articles of archeological importance. Overnight: Hotel Day 03 Cochin-Periyar After breakfast, depart for Periyar by road (200 kms/05 hrs). The Periyar Wildlife sanctuary is one of the best maintained wildlife sanctuaries in Southern India, giving an opportunity of spotting elephants, leopards, tigers and bisons, amongst various other species of flora and fauna. On your arrival, check into the Hotel Overnight: Hotel Day 04 Periyar This morning after breakfast proceed on a city tour of Periyar. This Boat cruise on the lake of the famous Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Periyar-an ariticial lake or reservoir created by a dam on Periyar River is in the heart of the Wildlife sanctuary. Wild Elephants, Asiatic Deer, Black Buck and even tigers come to shores of the lake to drink. Return to hotel for breakfast. Thereafter drive through the winding "Ghats" kind with prosperous tea plantations & then arrive the fascinating countryside of low-lying palms and paddy field to Kumarakom. Kumarakom is a beautiful backwater willage on the shores of the enchanting Vembanad Lake, crises crossed with meandering waterways and ancient cottages. Overnight: Hotel Day 05 Periyar-Kumarakom After breakfast, depart for Kumarakom by road (200 kms/05 hrs). On your arrival in Kumarakom check-in to the hotel. Rest of the day at Leisure. Overnight: Hotel Day 06 Kumarakom After brekfast proceed for a sightseeing tour of Kumarakom Boat Cruise on the backwaters, which gives an opportunity to behold the great charm of this city that nature has endowed upon it. Overnight: Hotel Day 07 Kumarakom- Alleppey After breakfast drive to Alleppey and board houseboat for overnight cruise in the backwaters of Kerala.Cruise takes you through the palm fringed canals and is a unique way to discover Kerala. Evening candlelit dinner on board houseboat.
