The resort has got a wonderful orchard from which the daily supplies of fresh fruits are collected. Fruit trees of various species collected from different parts of the globe are grown with painstaking attention. Delicious seasonal fruits like jackfruit, guava, Malayan apple, velvet apple, butter fruit, papaya, sappota, pomegranates, pineapple, mangostene, passion fruit, lime, gooseberries, mulberries and different varieties of plantain fruits and bananas include the collection of fruits from the orchard. The bird sanctuary here, which is spread across 14 acres is a favorite haunt of migratory birds and is an ornithologist's paradise. Egrets, darters, herons, teal, Water Fowl, cuckoo, Wild Duck and migratory birds like the Siberian Stork are seen here. The best way to watch the birds of the Kumarakom Sanctuary is while on a boat trip around the islands. Overnight: Hotel Day 5 Kottayam This morning after breakfast, proceed for the site seeing of Kottayam Overnight: Hotel Day 6 Kodenadu ( Elephants & Wild life sanctuary) On the day six of this travel package to Kerala, you will be visiting Kodenadu, which is very famous for training the elephants, there is a small wildlife park at the center that accommodates deer and other wildlife. The main attraction, however, are the elephants. Kodanad elephant training center is a peaceful spot among forest-like environs. Young elephants are trained from an early age.. Elephants are accommodated in the sturdy cage. The cage allows training in a more humane manner, instead of being torture-based.
